Donica is an experienced, results-oriented attorney with Big Law and in-house experience. She focuses on advising emerging growth companies throughout their life cycle from incorporation to raising money to determining an appropriate exit strategy.  Donica also advises clients in connection with M&A transactions, stock plan administration matters, corporate governance matters, and technology licensing and commercial agreements. She also provides outside general counsel support to both startup and in-house legal departments.

Donica joined Scale in February 2024. Prior to joining Scale, Donica founded and led a boutique law firm, where she provided legal guidance and served as outside general counsel to numerous emerging growth companies. She also served in various legal roles at Sun Microsystems and Infinera Corporation, where she led the corporate governance and public company reporting functions. Donica began her legal career as an Associate with DLA Piper US  LLP.

Donica enjoys giving back, providing pro bono legal services to Cake4Kids, in which she is also a member of the Board of Directors, NEXT Foundation, and Slow Money SLO.   Scale's remote first model enables Donica to live in Paso Robles, where she enjoys experiencing the food and wine offerings available in California’s Central Coast region.
