Her expertise has also led to her appointment as a partition referee, notably overseeing the contested sale of a $16 million mixed-use commercial and residential property.Marissa also has significant experience advising corporate and nonprofit clients. She serves as outside counsel to companies at all stages of growth, providing guidance on entity formation, corporate governance, transactions, and regulatory compliance.Beyond her legal practice, Marissa is the founder of Oceans Forward, a nonprofit dedicated to creating a network of scalable marine conservation initiatives that has received international recognition, including being featured in BBC’s Blue Planet series.
