Zoe has over 20 years' experience negotiating complex media, technology and other intellectual property-focused transactions at top law firms and in-house legal departments. She is well-versed in collaborating with business teams to structure partnerships both in the legacy media space and with startups experimenting with new platforms. Her practice encompasses:

• content licensing, including live sports distribution via streaming, cable/satellite and over-the-air broadcast
• software, SaaS, AI and other tech-related transactions 
• all aspects of digital platform support, including app distribution on mobile and connected device platforms
• advice on legal risks of new product, technology and marketing initiatives
• responsible AI guidelines
• trademark licensing, sponsorships, marketing and promotion
• due diligence and M&A support in the sports, media and entertainment spaces

Before joining Scale, Zoe was a Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at the NBA, where she co-led the legal team responsible for the distribution of NBA content (live games, highlights, VR, social media, etc.) via third-party distributors and the NBA’s direct-to-consumer platform. She has also held senior roles in the law departments of Altice USA and Charter Communications (formerly Time Warner Cable), focusing on content acquisition as well as strategic advice relating to mergers and acquisitions and new product and technology initiatives. Previously, Zoe was an associate specializing in licensing, M&A support and other intellectual property-related matters at the law firms Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu.
