Brett Kelly

Brett has experience performing patent preparation and prosecution for clients of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to promising startups. He has helped companies obtain patents in the fields of cloud computing, wireless communications, database systems, data security, system orchestration, and artificial intelligence, among others. Brett works closely with in-house counsel, developers, and other innovators to ensure robust and affordable patent protection. With nearly a decade of patent drafting experience, Brett has helped guide patent portfolio development for companies dealing with the complex challenges inherent to patent protection for AI advancements and other rapidly evolving technologies.

Prior to joining Scale, Brett worked as a Patent Agent for Holland & Hart’s award-winning Patent Systems Group, helping onboard new clients and train team members on best practices for patent preparation and prosecution. He drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications through to allowance. 

Brett is a registered Patent Agent with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
