Brian leads Scale’s IP group and helps emerging businesses tackle both legal and operational challenges. With ten years of in-house, high-tech experience, he is adept across a wide range of areas including commercial and government contracting, SaaS licensing, tech transactions, and employment and benefits law.

He is also a skilled intellectual property practitioner with a background in computer science and experience as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Brian is a member of Scale LLP’s Dual-Use and Emerging Defense Technology team, where he applies his technical and IP expertise to solve complex government data rights and transactional issues.

Brian regularly serves Scale clients as a fractional general counsel, where he closely integrates with in-house teams to provide timely and frictionless service directly where it’s needed.
