Emma Thompson

Emma Thompson has nearly two decades of legal experience advising companies at all stages of growth in both private practice and as General Counsel. Emma’s practice at Scale focuses on serving as outside general counsel to companies of all sizes, negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial and strategic agreements, conducting M&A, and providing support on employment, compliance, IP, and litigation-related matters. She brings a hands-on, pragmatic, and business-minded approach to help facilitate business objectives and manage risk on behalf of her clients.

Previously, Emma served as General Counsel for over twelve years at Pyrotek Incorporated, a 3,500+ employee global engineering firm, overseeing the legal aspects of Pyrotek’s domestic and international operations, including strategic transactions, M&A, litigation management, and compliance. Emma lives in Spokane, WA with her family and is passionate about sustainability, mindfulness/mental health and literacy/education.
