On Jan. 30, 2026, more than 100 attorneys from across the firm, along with clients, peers, and members of the broader legal community, came together for Scale’s fourth-annual Continuing Legal Education (CLE) day. The virtual program offered a full day of content designed for in-house lawyers and outside counsel supporting growing businesses.
This year’s program offered CLE credit in nearly 20 jurisdictions, allowing attorneys across the country, from California to New York, to participate in the accredited program together at the same time. The virtual format reflects how Scale attorneys collaborate every day, learning from one another across practices and regions while staying connected as a distributed firm.
Twelve Scale attorneys led six webinar sessions throughout the day, presenting across practice areas. Sessions were built around real scenarios attorneys encounter in-house, with presenters drawing on matters they’ve advised on directly and decisions they’ve helped clients navigate. The programming was relevant whether someone is advising from inside a company, working with clients externally, or considering a move into a different legal environment.
This year’s agenda included:
- Designing legal systems that support company growth
- Improving contract processes while managing risk
- Protecting intellectual property and brand assets
- Managing litigation and investigations in active businesses
- Applying ethics rules in day-to-day legal practice
- Understanding governance, control, and capital for in-house counsel
Across sessions, the focus stayed on how legal decisions are made in real time, under real pressure, with business context front and center.
The In-House Bootcamp CLE Day is an opportunity to step back and invest in the growth of our attorneys and the broader community. It supports attorneys in meeting licensing requirements while also creating space for collaboration and shared learning across experience levels and practice areas. Credit opportunities for additional states will be added each year as the firm continues to expand.
