Scale LLP Partner Cary Ullman has been named to Legal 500’s US Elite rankings for New York City in the Banking and Finance practice area. The distinction highlights leading attorneys practicing at top regional firms who are handling matters at the highest levels of the U.S. legal market.
The US Elite rankings are determined by Legal 500’s research team through in-depth interviews, peer and client feedback, and an evaluation of attorneys’ work over the past year. Lawyers are ranked individually and recognized for their impact within their respective cities and practice areas.
Ullman leads Scale’s Fintech and Financial Services group and is widely regarded for her deep experience across the cards and payments ecosystem. Her practice focuses on structuring consumer and commercial card programs, negotiating BIN-sponsorship and program management arrangements, and advising clients throughout the full product life cycle. She is a fintech law specialist and regularly counsels fintech companies on embedded finance integrations, bank-fintech partnerships, digital wallets, international remittances, and more.
With more than 20 years of senior in-house experience at leading global financial institutions, Ullman brings a practical perspective to complex regulatory and commercial issues. Her background enables her to translate regulatory requirements into clear, growth-oriented strategies for fintech innovators operating in highly regulated markets.
Ullman’s recognition follows recent US Elite rankings for other Scale partners, including Eric Ferraro, Alexander Gershen, and Jamie Wells in California, as well as Brian Elliott and Chuck Kraus in Texas, underscoring the firm’s continued strong presence across key U.S. markets.
